A confident beginning, one discovery at a time.
At Building Blocks, preschool learning grows through purposeful play. Children explore books, early writing, numbers, art, music, and movement while practicing how to learn alongside others. Our center is located at 1310 N. Michigan Avenue in Saginaw.
Being ready for school includes feeling comfortable asking for help, trying something unfamiliar, and expressing a feeling. Our teachers help children name emotions, practice kindness, solve problems, and develop a sense of belonging.
What children explore
- Early literacy: Books, stories, conversation, drawing, and early writing give children ways to share ideas.
- Math and discovery: Counting, measuring, comparing, and exploring materials make new concepts tangible.
- Music, movement, and creativity: Songs, rhythm, movement, and art support expression, coordination, and joyful learning.
- Friendships and feelings: Children practice taking turns, working together, and communicating what they need.
Ask about PreK for All.
Building Blocks offers free preschool options for families who qualify. Families of four-year-olds can ask our team about Michigan’s PreK for All program, eligibility, required documents, and current classroom availability.
Tell us your child’s age and when you hope to begin. We can discuss which preschool options may fit your family. Program availability, eligibility, and schedules need to be confirmed with our team before enrollment.
Plan care around your family’s day.
Our center’s regular hours are Monday through Friday, 6 AM–7 PM, except scheduled closures. These are center hours; they do not mean every preschool program runs for the full day. Ask about the preschool schedule and any additional childcare your family needs.
Balanced meals and snacks are part of the day at Building Blocks. During your inquiry or visit, we can discuss daily routines and answer your questions. Our family calendar lists events and center closures.
Let’s talk about the next step.
- Send an enrollment inquiry or call 989-752-1800.
- Share your child’s age, your preferred start date, and the schedule you need.
- Discuss availability, eligibility, and arranging a visit with our team.
An inquiry is a conversation starter, not a completed enrollment or a reserved space. If you need care for another age, explore our infant, toddler, and school-age programs.
